Today, during class, the fire alarm went off, which was a mild surprise since I don't think I've ever had the fire alarm go off in an academic building before (always in the dorms, always a drill/false alarm/idiot-ass student). We all thought it was a drill (which I guess is why there are always drills; can't tell the difference from a real emergency and a practice run, so you stay chill either way). Well, surprise! This one was real. There was no fire, but on the first floor there was an oil spill (from the heaters, I'll assume).
What a mess! The black stuff is the oil, of course, and I'm going to guess the sprinklers went off since there was a lot of water too. I'm going to guess that it was about an inch, inch and a half deep.
That's all I know about the situation now, hopefully the school will eventually give us more info. Maybe no class tomorrow, haha.
